On Wednesday, April 15th, the CCU unions came out in full force at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting to protest the proposed County budget, which includes a zero percent wage increase to CCU-represented County employees. A zero percent wage increase to the men and women who are the backbone of County services - public safety heroes, doctors, dentists, building trade professionals, interpreters, and a multitude of service professionals - is not only insulting, but shockingly obtuse at a time when inflation has hit every aspect of day-to-day life. Several of our members took advantage of the media outlets that were onsite to cast light on the issue., A Fox11 featured segment can be found here.
